This is a topic very close to me, passed down from my mother and grandmother, and it should not be passed on to future generations. I believe that gender equality is a fight for Equality and Freedom for all, not only for women.
Week after week, there are news reports of women being killed by domestic violence. In a Europe and World where fundamental freedoms are threatened, it is crucial to emphasize the importance of women's rights for the future we want.
"FOR ALL WOMEN WE STAND" state what I consider Feminism: being a woman has being the mother, care giver and should be cared for. The more women are free, the more this legacy will be carry on.
I created these bandanas with strong symbolism:
Black: For mourning the women who can no longer fight with us.
Purple: For the marks of physical and psychological violence.
Pink Ornament: A color of beauty, celebration and hope.
40 purple bandanas and 40 black bandanas.
I am happy to say that 40% of the value of all purple bandanas will be donated to APAV (Portuguese association for victim support), whose campaign "PURPLE IS FOR WEARING, NOT MARKING” deeply inspired me.
